The Basic Autoplan policy will not cover you outside of the continental United States or Canada. Should you wish to travel to Mexico or to any other country outside of North America, it is advised that you ensure you purchase adequate insurance for those jurisdictions.

Optional coverage-third party liability, collision, comprehensive can be bought from ICBC or other insurance companies.

Roadside Plus provides loss of use, travel protection, rental vehicle, family world wide transportation, lock re-keying, theft deductible waiver, destination assistance and emergency roadside expense.

You can purchase storage policy for theft, vandalism and also for liability if you are not using the vehicle and parking it on private property.

ICBC provides $1 million Excess Underinsured Motorist Policy (UMP) on all vehicles. It is advisable to carry $2 million UMP to protect you, your family and passengers in the vehicle.

It is compulsory to purchase basic insurance from Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) for all vehicles. This insurance is good in Canada and the United States of America.
